主唱Paul Rodgers 曾是Free的主唱，於80年代初離開Bad Company，發行個人專輯。
2005年後陸續與Queen合作。
第二代vocals: Brian Howe,1986年加入。發行了4張專輯(一張為Live 精選)。
其中Dangerous age 及Holy water兩張專輯有多首單曲打進 Billboard's rock chart 前10名，成績相當輝煌。

雖然換了第三任主唱，但憑良心說，Robert Hart 的聲音也不錯，但是跟Brian Howe 的聲線太像，沒能唱出自己的味道，單聽專輯並不容易辨識，可惜了些；而Brian Howe相較於Paul Rodgers 則有自己的特色及味道....
我因為 No smoke without a fire 這首歌認識Bad Company ，也才逐漸知道前面的歷史，並發現Paul Rodgers 的好聲音！(聽他的Live 比錄音間的版本過癮，你會驚訝於他聲音的流暢及自由度)
第二代Bad Company 是我最喜歡的時期。Brian Howe的聲音高亢、乾淨卻厚實而且具爆發力，在80年代搖滾樂的全盛時代飆唱高音是相當有魅力的。這也許是打進Billboard's rock chart 的原因之一。

打完歌詞後，我知道為何如此喜歡這首歌。
整首歌滿滿的〝孤獨感〞，讓人聽了十分心痛。
一直記得第二代Bad Company 的每張專輯應該都有收藏，但翻遍所有CD就是找不到【Here comes trouble】這張專輯；終於在卡帶堆裡找到。上面寫著這樣的評語：
〝精純不慍的硬悍曲風，張力十足。沿襲其一貫琍落勁鈞式流暢特點，唯愈益熟密更見老練。〞
那天心血來潮找出Waking
up the
neighbours.
沒有特別預期的只是聽著歌一首接著一首播放。 …突然間熟悉的節奏在空氣中迴盪，我停下手邊的事情愣了幾秒鐘。 腦海裡出現藍色背景中海豚在空中跳躍翻騰的畫面......這才發現自己如此喜歡這首歌。

Thought I’d died and gone to heaven》是我非常非常喜歡的一首Bryan式情歌，比Heaven、(Everything I
do)I do it for you 還要更喜歡。
當年Kevin Costner的電影〝俠盜羅賓漢〞的片尾曲(Everything I do)I
do it for you紅透半邊天，也讓Bryan Adams的事業如日中天，到達顛峰。
同年專輯Waking up the
Neighbours.就收錄了這首歌。專輯中另有一首抒情歌曲：Do I Have To Say The Words?
但吸引我的確是較冷門的

Adams最具突破性的專輯，更年輕、更Rock也多了更多的元素在裡面。習慣聽Bryan式情歌的人可能不太適應，但想想，18歲時誰不做瘋狂的事？

以前聽ou812時總是將焦點放在When it's love, Feels so good, finish
it what ya started, 最近仔細的聆聽整張專輯，才發現專輯的經典。
從第一首Mine all mine 便可以聽出Van Halen強烈的企圖心。
強勁、有力、快速，處處充滿了不可知的爆發力：像A.F.U.(Naturally
wired), Source of infection, Sucker in a 3 piece；Eddie的吉他指法變化多端，聽來卻是飽和溫厚不刺耳；Sammy Hagar的唱法也令人大為驚豔！彷彿他將自己的聲音變成樂器似的，可飆速也能感性，甚至是finish it what ya
started中帶點戲謔的使壞表現方式，簡直是發揮的淋漓盡致。
認識Van Halen時Sammy Hagar就已經是vocal，所以我的Van Halen的世界從來就沒有過David Lee Roth。
1985年以前的van halen 我不太認識；只知道他們有一首很紅很紅的單曲：jump；有一位據說吉他彈的超級厲害的Eddie (Michael Jackson
的beat it 在當年因為找不到吉他指法快速的樂手，於是找來Eddie幫忙)，僅此而已。
Van Halen簡介
Van Halen(中譯范海倫)成軍於1972年。
組成之初的成員除了范氏兄弟: Alex - drummer, Eddie - guitar外，主唱(成軍的前2年，Eddie也是vocal，直到David Lee Roth加入後始專職於guitar 的部分) - David Lee
Roth ,Bass – Michael Anthony。
1972-1985共發行了6張專輯，其中在1984年發行的專輯：1984裡收錄的單曲jump 可說真正打響了Van Halen的名號，也捧紅了David Lee Roth - 一個一心一意想成為電影明星的歌手。也許因為紅了、名氣大了，早就想單飛的David Lee Roth 在1985年求去，結束了11年的合作關係。
如果看過Live without a net 的演唱會，大概不會有人會相信Sammy Hagar是第二任主唱。在這場演唱會中所有的疑慮與不安都蕩然無存。
在演唱會中，4人默契之和諧有如天作之合，彷彿找到彼此知音似的，整場演唱會絕無冷場，無論是中快板的Why can’t this be
love or Love walks in, 初次展露了Van Halen感性、柔軟的一面；而驃悍十足的good enough, get up, 5150, inside, 更是令人折服於Sammy Hagar的爆發力；其中尚有一段堪稱經典的橋段：Sammy用他的聲音與Eddie 的吉他對話互飆，相當的精彩也帶出Best of both
woldes這首歌。
另外值得推薦的一首歌是Dreams。
在Live without a net 的演唱會中並未安排這首歌，但在之後的演唱會中Dreams卻是必然的曲目。Dreams可說是讓Sammy的聲音完美呈現聲線的一首經典之作。有歌迷說過，聽Dreams仿若真的可以飛上天空，實現所有的夢想。
David Lee Roth時期的Van Halen感覺上較浮誇，David的個人色彩相當濃厚，感覺上那是他的band似的；這也許是因為Eddie的吉他實在太出色，所以他必須用更誇張的肢體及唱腔做為抗衡，才不至成為配角。這時期的歌除了jump，其他的歌我並不熟。反到是Sammy Hagar加入後才在演唱會中認識一些，像panama等。而jump幾乎是David Lee Roth的代表作，我一度以為Sammy可能無法詮釋成自己的風格。但事實證明，Sammy的jump就是Sammy的風格，聽起來就好像原來就是他唱的一樣自然。
就我看來，Sammy Hagar與Eddie Van Halen之間可說是對彼此間的一種激賞，才會激盪出如此不一樣的火花。
