我不是做評論‧我只是愛聽-Linkin Park【A Thousand Suns】 part 2

一開始我便說了，這張專輯從序曲開始便埋下伏筆，而且主軸完整 - 圍繞著反核武、人權及言論自由的主題，一直到最後的the messenger。專輯中出現的三個代表性人物以穿針引線的方式帶出主題。

先前介紹了原子彈之父：羅伯特.奧本海默(Robert Oppenheimer)

從他在公開的演說中或許傳遞了一個訊息：如果時光可以倒轉；如果這個世界沒有戰爭..他說，這個世界將變得不一樣了。有些人大笑，有些人哭泣，然而大部分的人卻是沉默的….

大部分的人選擇沉默是因為或以為自己無力改變，所以沉默。

Robot boy 應該是寫給這些選擇沉默的人：

Jornada del muerto("single day's journey of the dead man"死亡旅程)似乎提醒著世人，面對核子武器的威脅(或是核能汙染)彷若一場死亡旅程 - 這不是結束，也不是開始...帶出了Waiting for the end 這首旋律雖輕快但卻有浴火重生、等待破繭而出的新生喜悅。

你聽它的節奏…彷彿你可以在天際間遨遊飛翔，而Chester的聲音透著一種「雖然感到迷惘，但依然勇敢前進」的堅定感，很難不被感動。(我所謂的感動不是說一定要痛哭流涕啦)

你以為故事就到這邊嗎？

第二個人物：Mario Savio(馬里奧.薩維奧)

這個人我還真是陌生。(不過，感謝Linkin Park，我現在知道他是誰了)以下節錄自網路：

馬里奧.薩維奧，是學運人士也是政治活動家，以激情的演說而著名。美國加州大學伯克萊分校言論自由協會領袖 . 
1964年12月2日在伯克萊分校一場名為'直接面對齒輪機'(put your bodies upon the gears)的演講影響最為深刻. (1964年…我都還沒出生)
1964年9月24日，加州大學伯克利分校年僅22歲的哲學系學生馬里奧薩維奧（Mario Savio）和阿特戈登堡(Art Goldenberg)等發起並領導了校園“言論自由”運動（ Free Speech Movement)，抗議學校當局禁止在校園內談論民權運動和發表反越戰言論。10月1日到2日，加州政府出動國民警衛隊前來制止，學生與警察對峙長達32小時，一些學生運動領袖被逮捕，反文化運動的序幕由此而拉開……..

以下是他的演說原文：

There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all" -Mario Savio

這場演說的內容挺精彩的，夠激情也夠煽情(不似羅伯特.奧本海默的悲情)，又加上配合「Wretches And Kings」 這首節奏強烈、充滿諷刺意味的歌詞更是一絕！

Wretches And Kings很容易就可以咬住你的耳朵，雖然明明唱的都是不容易聽得懂的Rap，但你就是會莫名的喜歡，尤其當Chester那特有的暴發力嗓音斯吼著

Steel unload / final blow
We the animals / take control
Hear us now / clear and true
Wretches and kings we come for you

你真的只能乖乖的臣服啊！

我不得不再次佩服Linkin Park！這樣一個搖滾樂團可以這麼得有深度、有想法，可以將一個人的演說放到專輯裡面，而且還獲得廣大的正面迴響。

這應該就是Linkin Park真正想要達到的目的-不是只是做一張傳統的專輯，而是敢走出正規的路，勇於冒險、創新。
